Wertheim Conservatory

The Conservatory was the vision of Herbert and Nicole Wertheim, who donated funds for the construction of the Conservatory and the Auditorium in 1990.

Many of the plants in the Wertheim Conservatory were donated by faculty, staff and students, as well as friends of the Wertheim Conservatory. 

Window Clings 

You can learn about tropical plants any time by visiting the window “clings” on the south face of the Wertheim Conservatory. The educational posters cover important groups of tropical plants, tropical crops, and, in the newest cling, pollination. Read Our Window Clings

The conservatory was damaged by Hurricane Irma and is closed for tours pending rebuilding. Tours will resume when the conservatory is reopened to the public.
