Quantifying Biology in the Classroom (QBIC) is an innovative BS in Biological Sciences track for exceptional undergraduate students who want a more in-depth and interdisciplinary approach to studying, understanding and conducting research in the biological sciences.

Why Join QBIC?

QBIC meets and exceeds the mathematical and science requirements to earn a Bachelors of Science in the Biological Sciences from FIU. We recruit highly qualified freshmen and expose them to a challenging and innovative curriculum designed by FIU faculty.

  • QBIC Scholars are encouraged to participate in research before their junior year.
  • Tutors are available for QBIC classes, accommodating small group sessions and individual appointments.
  • Prospective and current QBIC Scholars have the opportunity to earn a QBIC scholarship.
