Congratulations to Dr. Fernando Noriega on his new 5-year, 2.5 million dollar RO1 award entitled "Regulation of juvenile hormone titers in mosquitoes".
Two of our freshman Biology students (Odaimy Ayala and Bryant Estadella) who went to the National Conference of SEA PHAGE at Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Washington DC got first place in their poster presentation. There were five first places out of 74 posters from 74 Universities across the country including Brown University, Johns Hopkins University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of California SD, and Washington State University among other big Universities.
